課程概述 |
The course will be conducted as a major authors course on 19th-century American Romanticism and Realism, although we will try to keep in sight the historical backdrop and connect our readings to the development of American Literature before and after. |
|
課程目標 |
1. To teach the development of American literature through the 19th century
2. To teach the representative works of representative writers during this period |
|
課程要求 |
The teacher expects you to preview the readings at home and take part in class discussions. To encourage teamwork, the class will also be divided into groups which will be responsible for giving an oral presentation on assigned literary works. You will have to write one mid-term paper and one final paper. |
